Expensive designer clothing stores line the bottom of the Bucklands Building. One of our oldest buildings still standing, built around 1897 but not named until 1936 when J.H Buckland & Co. Ltd moved in with their enigneering supplies business. It is currently interim office spaces and the top floor is a very nice place to work in indeed. It is due for a complete restoration as part of the Britomart district redevelopment plan.

An abandoned four story building with smashed windows and graffiti looks beyond repair. The bottom is an active carpark but above the first floor looks more like it belongs in war torn Beirut.

A firewarden stands at his post after a fire is put out in a Fort St massage palour. Just another day in Aucklands red light district, I said to a bystander “thing’s must have been getting quite hot in there!”, she remarked “yes, a little too much friction going on!”. How we laughed.

Hungry?  This was taken early evening near Fort Street, Aucklands seediest neighbourhood. The famous White Lady burger trailer is towed in everyday around midday and sits there amongst the local strip joints, massage parlours and cheap backpack accomodation, the perfect place for that 3am cheese burger should you be so inclined.
